The Golden Isles Convention & Visitors Bureau currently lists the Splish Splash Package for stays from May 27 through September 6, 2026. The package includes one night’s accommodation plus two Summer Waves tickets.
The listing says to use promotional code THM in the Corporate/Promotional Code field when booking the participating Residence Inn, or ask for that code by phone. Because it is a hotel package, compare the full room price against booking a room and tickets separately.
Military parking is different from military admission
Water-park ticket
Active-duty and veteran guests with qualifying military ID currently receive 10% off general Summer Waves admission.
Island vehicle fee
Jekyll Island does not list a broad active-duty/veteran parking discount. It does provide a free annual parking pass for qualifying disabled veterans with specified service-connected documentation.

Was Memorial Day the 2026 opening date?
Not necessarily. The live official page no longer exposes the first operating date from spring 2026. A recent Tripadvisor review says the family visited on Memorial Day, May 25, 2026, so the park was definitely operating by that date.
That review does not prove May 25 was opening day. Rather than copying an opening date from a previous season, this page leaves the historical first day unclaimed unless Summer Waves publishes or archives it.
The separate Jekyll Island vehicle fee changes the real ticket total

Cancellation and rescheduling are not the same thing
Reschedule
Call 912-635-2074 no later than 5 PM the day before arrival. Once a cabana is rescheduled, the current policy says it is no longer eligible for a refund.
Cancel for full refund
The current FAQ says cancellation notice must be received by 5 PM two days before the scheduled arrival date for a full refund.
Group tickets and birthdays: the booking rules are more specific than the discount
Guests age 4+; children age 3 and under do not count toward the 25-person minimum.
