Before checking a ticket price, choose the Kalahari resort you actually mean
Kalahari Water Park is not one park with one price and one schedule. The operating U.S. resorts are in the Pocono Mountains, Sandusky, Wisconsin Dells and Round Rock, while Kalahari Spotsylvania in Virginia is scheduled to open later in 2026.
That location choice changes your day-pass price, hours, outdoor-waterpark access, locker cost, hotel timing, local offers and current ride closures. This guide separates those details so a Pennsylvania answer does not accidentally become bad advice for a Texas visitor.
Kalahari tickets and hours: the fast answer
Kalahari day-pass prices vary by resort and date. The official operating-resort pages sell limited Waterpark Day Passes when inventory is available. Online purchase is the safest admission path because Kalahari says waterpark-desk sales can close.
Current indoor hours are 10AM–9PM daily in the Poconos, Sandusky and Wisconsin Dells. Round Rock currently uses 10AM–8PM Sunday–Thursday and 10AM–9PM Friday–Saturday. Outdoor hours are separate and seasonal.
Which Kalahari Water Park do you mean?
Start here. These five properties should not be treated as interchangeable search results.
Pocono Mountains
250 Kalahari Boulevard
Pocono Manor, PA 18349
220,000-sq.-ft. indoor waterpark plus seasonal outdoor park.
Sandusky
7000 Kalahari Drive
Sandusky, OH 44870
173,000-sq.-ft. indoor waterpark plus outdoor summer park.
Wisconsin Dells
1305 Kalahari Drive
Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965
Year-round indoor park, outdoor park and a major fall-2026 expansion.
Round Rock
3001 Kalahari Boulevard
Round Rock, TX 78665
223,000-sq.-ft. indoor waterpark plus Summer Savannah.
Spotsylvania
5500 Destination Drive
Woodford, VA 22580
More than 175,000 sq. ft. indoors; opening November 12, 2026.
Four search-result traps worth fixing before you spend money
Old hours can outrank today’s hours
Older Kalahari pages and travel panels can preserve an earlier weekday/weekend schedule. The current Poconos hours guide now lists the indoor waterpark at 10AM–9PM daily.
A screenshot is not a ticket price
Day passes use date-based pricing. A $39.99 resident promotion, old holiday sale or social-media screenshot does not establish the price for your Saturday.
Round Rock has more than one “water park” result
Kalahari Round Rock is the resort at 3001 Kalahari Boulevard. Do not confuse it with another Round Rock-area municipal waterpark when searching maps, reviews or tickets.
Official PDFs can still become old
Kalahari’s own Wisconsin and Virginia press PDFs contain earlier planning names and dates. They are valuable records, but the live 2026 resort page should win when the two conflict.
Kalahari Water Park tickets: how to buy a day pass without getting stuck at check-in
Kalahari does not publish one permanent national admission number because pricing changes by date and property. The useful question is therefore not “what is the ticket price?” but “what will the official checkout charge for my location and exact date?”
Full Waterpark Day Pass
Available in limited quantities at operating resorts. The official online calendar is the only reliable current-price source.
Shorter pass options
Poconos currently advertises half-day admission from 4PM until close. Sandusky also advertises evening admission. Round Rock lists evening-pass options in its ticket mix.
Age 3+ is the paid structure
Current day-pass pages state that toddlers age 2 and younger do not require a Waterpark Day Pass.
Do not rely on walk-up sales
Kalahari warns that Waterpark Desk sales may close on any day. Online purchase is the path that guarantees admission while inventory is available.
Bring these before your group walks to the Waterpark Desk
Keep the confirmation email on your phone. A screenshot is useful when cellular service is slow.
Poconos and Round Rock explicitly require a valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID for the purchasing guest.
Those same day-pass pages tell the purchasing guest to bring the credit card used for the transaction.
Everyone must check in together. Partial party check-in is not permitted under current Waterpark Day Pass rules.
Current deal examples — useful, but not universal prices
Lokal Leisure Days
Upcoming local-city windows currently list $37.99 Monday–Thursday, $44.99 Friday and $57.99 Sunday beginning September 13, with valid ID and city/date eligibility.
$39.99 program exists, but no date promise
The official Lokal Leisure Days page lists $39.99 local day passes and 50% off standard cabanas, but currently says “More dates coming soon.” Do not drive over expecting that rate without a published eligible date.
Season passes can beat repeated day passes
Several resorts currently sell Summer and Fall season-pass tiers. Prices and benefits vary by resort, so compare the exact property rather than using a Texas pass price for Pennsylvania.
The real Kalahari cost is more than the first day-pass number
Do not compare an online day-pass subtotal with a hotel room and stop there. The trip changes when you add lockers, resort fees, parking/valet choices, towels, food and whether waterpark access spans one or two calendar days.
Locker: $15–$30
Current Poconos waterpark information lists small, medium and large lockers in this daily price range.
Locker: $20–$35
The current Sandusky waterpark page lists this daily locker range.
$17 / $20 / $27
Current Wisconsin locker rates are $17 small, $20 medium and $27 large.
Valet: $25 + tax
Optional Day Pass Valet is currently $25 plus tax; EV charging can be added for $15 plus tax per day.
Overnight resort fee comparison
Current resort fee includes items such as overnight self-parking, Wi-Fi, life-jacket use and resort amenities.
Add this mandatory charge when comparing a hotel rate with day-pass totals.
Current fee includes overnight self-parking, Wi-Fi, life-jacket use and additional resort services.
Do not leave the mandatory resort fee out of a “room vs passes” comparison.
Kalahari Water Park hours by resort
Indoor hours are much more stable than outdoor schedules. Still, always open the exact resort calendar before leaving because attraction rotations and seasonal schedule changes can happen inside a broader “open” day.
Hotel waterpark access: the early-arrival and checkout rules differ by resort
All four operating resorts include waterpark access for registered overnight guests, but the practical arrival window is not identical.
10AM arrival → 3PM checkout-day water time
Room check-in begins at 4PM, but current guest information allows pre-registration and waterpark access as early as 10AM. Checkout is 11AM; waterpark use continues until 3PM.
Noon arrival → 3PM checkout-day water time
Current Sandusky guest guidance says pre-registration can start at noon. Checkout is 11AM, with waterpark use currently allowed until 3PM.
10AM arrival → waterpark close
Pre-register from 10AM on arrival day. After the 11AM room checkout, current guest information invites guests to use the waterpark until closing.
Noon arrival → waterpark close
Current Round Rock guest information allows pre-registration from noon, and guests may continue waterpark use after 11AM checkout until close.
Kalahari Poconos, Pennsylvania: the location most NJ and Northeast searches mean
The Pocono Mountains resort is at 250 Kalahari Boulevard, Pocono Manor, PA 18349. Kalahari currently lists its indoor waterpark at 220,000 square feet and 84°F.
Current official indoor-waterpark size.
Current daily schedule.
Seasonal through Labor Day, weather permitting.
Current published daily range by locker size.
Poconos day-pass check-in is stricter than many generic guides explain
- Every member of the party checks in at the same time.
- Bring the confirmation email.
- Bring the purchasing guest’s government-issued photo ID.
- Bring the credit card used for the purchase.
- Without the required documentation, Kalahari says admission will not be granted.
- Online Waterpark Pass purchases are nonrefundable.
- Bring your own towels.
VR Waterslide is a separate paid experience
The Poconos VR Waterslide currently lists an additional $9.99 per person. It is located at the Anaconda tube slide and currently lists eligible height ranges beginning at 42 inches.
Early Waterpark Access is another optional add-on
Kalahari Poconos currently advertises select-date Early Waterpark Access starting at $29.99 per person per day or about $99.99 for a four-pack. It adds an extra hour, but several attractions and food outlets are not part of that early period.
Kalahari Sandusky, Ohio: what matters beyond the 10AM opening
Kalahari Sandusky is at 7000 Kalahari Drive, Sandusky, OH 44870. The indoor waterpark is currently listed at 173,000 square feet.
Current official indoor-waterpark size.
Current daily schedule.
Summer schedule, weather permitting.
Current official daily range.
Military and senior visitors have a direct official discount path
The current Sandusky day-pass page advertises discounted rates for guests with valid Military ID and for seniors age 65+ with qualifying ID. Use the official ticket page rather than a coupon blog because the exact rate can change by date.
The waterpark map is more useful than a ride-name list
The current Kalahari Helpful Maps page still links an older official resort/waterpark PDF. It shows the route from the lower lobby to the Indoor Waterpark Entrance, family changing room, men’s and women’s locker rooms, Lost & Found, waterpark food outlets and cabana zones.
Official Sandusky map PDF: what you can safely learn from an older map
The map currently linked from Kalahari’s live Helpful Maps page carries an older file date. That makes it useful for orientation, but not a reliable same-day ride-status sheet.
Find the practical facilities
The map places the Indoor Waterpark Entrance near the family changing room, women’s and men’s locker rooms. It also identifies lockers and Lost & Found inside the waterpark.
Understand the attraction layout
The map shows Lazy River, wave pool, FlowRider, body/tube slides, kid areas, spa zones and multiple cabana sections spread across the waterpark and mezzanine.
Know where food is
The PDF labels Café Mirage, Monsoon Saloon, Mud Hut, Safari Grille and Zulu Grille, helping families decide where to establish a base.
The map also documents height thresholds
Its legend identifies attractions using 42-inch and 48-inch thresholds. The FlowRider notation shows 42 inches for bodyboarding and 52 inches for stand-up surfing.
Kalahari Wisconsin Dells: current waterpark details before the expansion opens
The Wisconsin Dells indoor waterpark is open now while a major new section remains under construction. That distinction matters when viewing construction renderings, future attraction articles or late-2026 hotel offers.
Current daily indoor-waterpark hours.

Current published daily play-area hours.
Current target for the new 75,000-sq.-ft. indoor area.

Overnight guests and towels are not the same as day-pass guests
Wisconsin overnight guests may use resort towels without a normal rental charge when returned. Kalahari currently lists a $25 per missing towel per day charge. Day-pass guests, by contrast, are told to bring their own towels.
Wisconsin expansion audit: why the old official PDF and the live 2026 page use different names
This is a good example of why an “official PDF” should not automatically outrank a newer official web page.
Early planning names
The original $85 million expansion announcement described a 75,000-square-foot glass-enclosed/open-air area with a retractable roof.
- Wild Wildebeest
- Green Python
- Cheetah Mat Racers
- Lost Lagoon Spa Pool
- Coral Cove Kiddie Slide Pool
- The Grotto
Current public attraction names
The current page keeps the $85 million / 75,000-square-foot project but now targets late October 2026 and publishes a newer attraction lineup.
- Zambezi Rapids
- Viper Venom
- Nile River Racers
- Dolphin Reef family whirlpool
- Watering Hole
- Adventure Bay with six new slides
- The Grotto swim-up bar
What stayed consistent from the planning PDF
The project is still described as an $85 million, 75,000-square-foot expansion with a retractable roof. The old PDF also described additional seating, food-and-beverage capacity and new cabana/whirlpool-cabana options.
Kalahari Round Rock, Texas: indoor hours are simple; outdoor hours are not
Kalahari Round Rock is at 3001 Kalahari Boulevard, Round Rock, TX 78665. The indoor waterpark is listed at 223,000 square feet.
Current official indoor-waterpark size.
Current schedule.
Current longer weekend schedule.
Summer Savannah on currently operating dates.
Outdoor Oasis is not the same schedule as Summer Savannah
The current outdoor page lists the Outdoor Oasis Pool from 11AM–7PM, while Summer Savannah currently uses 12PM–5PM on its late-August operating dates.
Current Round Rock local ticket offer
Lokal Leisure Days currently rotates eligible cities by date. The next listed window, August 31–September 4, includes Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Leander and Pflugerville. The published weekday offer is currently $37.99 Monday–Thursday and $44.99 Friday, subject to ID, dates, availability and changing terms.
Current Round Rock season-pass snapshot
Current 50%-off summer listing; valid through September 7, 2026. Blue uses weekday admission rules.
Current sale listing with seven-day admission and additional benefits.
Current sale listing with extra Bring-A-Friend and seating/cabana benefits.
Tom Foolerys is a separate product
Search results often mix the waterpark with Tom Foolerys Adventure Park. Round Rock currently lists Tom Foolerys stand-alone passes at $49.99 for guests 42 inches and taller and $29.99 for children under 42 inches. Those are not Kalahari Waterpark Day Pass prices.
Kalahari Spotsylvania, Virginia: current opening date beats the older PDF
Kalahari Spotsylvania is still a future resort as of this fact check. The current live Kalahari FAQ now says the property will open on November 12, 2026.
Current live Virginia FAQ date.
More than 175,000 square feet.
Live indoor page currently advertises 40+ heart-pounding waterslides.
Memorial Day weekend 2027.
Why Google may still surface December 18, 2026
Original booking date
The official booking announcement initially allowed reservations for arrivals beginning December 18, 2026.
That release also used a 50+ waterslide description for the planned lineup.
November 12 now controls
Kalahari’s current Virginia FAQ says the doors officially open November 12, 2026.
The current indoor-waterpark page now markets 40+ heart-pounding waterslides.
Current Virginia attractions already named publicly
North America’s longest indoor Master Blaster
Kalahari’s current page still shows the water coaster under a temporary “Name The Slide” heading while noting a new name is coming.
Family and thrill slides
Current listings include Dawn Breaker, Zambezi River Rapids, Zig Zag Zebra, Kalahari Curl and Viper Venom.
Broader waterpark mix
The live page also lists FlowRider, Lazy River, Wave Pool, Tiko’s Watering Hole, Coral Cove and other family areas.
Outdoor waterpark is not part of the November 2026 opening plan
The Virginia outdoor-waterpark page currently says the outdoor section opens Memorial Day weekend 2027 and is planned as a seasonal Memorial Day–Labor Day experience.
Is there a Kalahari Water Park in New Jersey?
No Kalahari resort is currently in New Jersey
Kalahari’s current U.S. resort list does not include a New Jersey location.
Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania
The Poconos property is the Kalahari result many New Jersey families are actually trying to find.
Do not assume Poconos is automatically your best choice, especially from southern New Jersey. Compare actual driving time with your alternative indoor waterparks before buying a date-specific, nonrefundable pass.
Kalahari day-pass rules that can change whether you get in or what your child can ride
Bring your own towel
Waterpark Day Pass guests are repeatedly told to bring towels. Complimentary resort towels are not supplied to ordinary day-pass visitors.
No outside cooler
Outside food, beverages and coolers are prohibited in waterpark and common areas.
Bag checks
Kalahari’s waterpark rules allow bags to be checked. Weapons, glass and outside food/drinks are listed as prohibited.
Specific dietary needs
Baby food and allergy-related items should be clearly identified to the Kalahari team during bag check.
Under 48″
Children under 48 inches must wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket.
Free life jackets
Approved life jackets are available without charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
Weight checks
Selected attractions enforce manufacturer weight requirements. Kalahari provides a weigh station near the waterpark entrance.
Under age 14
Current day-pass rules require children under 14 to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Attraction rotation
A park can be open while a duplicate ride or pool opens later or rotates out temporarily.
Little-kid rules parents should know before arriving
Kalahari FAQs also publish more detailed water-safety guidance. Children who are not toilet trained need swim diapers. Kalahari recommends close adult supervision, and Poconos specifically says children under 5 should have an adult within arm’s reach.
Goggles are not “allowed everywhere”
Current FAQs permit goggles in pools, children’s attractions and on raft slides when secured with a head strap. Kalahari says goggles should not be worn on body slides, and snorkels are not permitted.
Casts and prosthetics are handled by ride safety, not a blanket yes/no rule
Kalahari states that casts and prosthetics can be present in the waterpark, but a guest may be refused a specific attraction if the device prevents the required ride position, a secure grip or creates an injury/slide-damage risk. Final ride decisions remain with attendants.
Accessibility: what Kalahari actually publishes for waterpark access
Do not reduce accessibility to “ADA accessible.” Kalahari’s FAQs make an important distinction between elevated slide access and pool access.
Elevated slides
Kalahari says waterslides and elevated waterpark attractions are not wheelchair accessible.
Pool access
Several pools have zero-depth entry and ADA pool lifts, depending on resort and attraction.
Water wheelchairs
Current FAQs say a limited number of water wheelchairs are available to guests at no cost.
Poconos offers a Waterpark Visual Story
The Poconos FAQ provides a downloadable visual guide for guests who benefit from seeing what to expect before the visit. That can be more useful than a generic accessibility statement for visitors who need predictability or visual preparation.
Round Rock has a separate sensory calming room
The Texas resort’s calming room is located near the Waterpark Front Desk inside Tom Foolerys. Kalahari describes a quieter environment with sensory toys, noise-canceling headphones and a communication board.
Kalahari Water Park photos: how to use them without getting outdated trip information
Photos answer “what does this place feel like?” They should not answer “what does it cost today?” or “is this ride open?”
Use wide waterpark photos for scale
A full-park shot helps you judge walking distance, slide-tower placement, pools and whether a grandparent-friendly seating base looks realistic.
Use map PDFs for layout
A real map is better than a glamorous photo for finding lockers, changing areas, food, first aid and a family meeting point.
Date Wisconsin expansion photos
Late-2026 renderings may show the new 75,000-square-foot section before it is actually open.
Date Virginia images too
Pre-opening renderings and representative waterpark media should not be presented as proof that Spotsylvania is already operating.
Current attraction notes worth knowing before a late-2026 trip
This is the highest-maintenance section on the page. Treat it as a dated snapshot and recheck before departure.
Wild Wildebeest
Currently operating with a maximum of two riders until further notice.
Tiko’s Watering Hole
Scheduled to close for renovations beginning September 8, 2026.
Swahili Swirl
Scheduled maintenance closure September 14–15, 2026.
No upcoming closure currently posted
The live Wisconsin waterpark page currently reports no upcoming attraction closures.
How to plan a Kalahari Water Park visit in seven practical steps
Choose the resort before researching anything else
Decide between Poconos, Sandusky, Wisconsin Dells, Round Rock or future Spotsylvania. Save the exact official location page so search results do not switch states on you.
Open the exact visit date in day-pass checkout
Ignore old screenshots. Use the official calendar to see whether inventory exists and what Kalahari is charging for your location and day.
Compare the whole family bill with an overnight room
Add every paid guest, locker, travel and other day-trip extras. For a room, add tax and the mandatory resort fee instead of comparing only the advertised nightly rate.
Check indoor and outdoor schedules separately
The indoor waterpark may run until 8PM or 9PM while the outdoor section closes much earlier or is closed for the season.
Check the child’s must-do ride before making promises
Start with height, then check weight and rider rules. Children under 48 inches also need an approved life jacket in the waterpark.
Pack the Waterpark Desk items on top
Bring towels and keep confirmation, ID and purchase card easy to reach when your resort’s current day-pass rules require them. Have the complete party ready to check in together.
Recheck hours and closures the morning you leave
Use the current resort hours guide and attraction page one last time. This is especially important for outdoor parks, late summer and maintenance windows.
The first 60 minutes: a lower-stress way to start the day
Check in as one party
Have confirmation, ID and payment card ready rather than searching bags at the counter.
Get the locker first
Put keys, dry clothes and valuables away before everyone is wet and spread across the waterpark.
Verify the must-do ride
Use height/weight signs or the weigh station before standing in a long queue.
Do one priority attraction zone
Then agree on a physical meeting point before older kids or adults split from the group.
Which Kalahari makes the most sense for different visitors?
Northeast / NJ / NYC-area trip
Start with Poconos because it is the Northeast Kalahari location. Compare actual drive time and tolls before choosing a nonrefundable day-pass date.
Ohio / Lake Erie resort trip
Sandusky works well for families specifically wanting a major indoor waterpark resort in the same broader region as Cedar Point attractions.
Wisconsin Dells trip
Wisconsin is especially interesting for late October onward once the new 75,000-square-foot expansion actually opens.
Austin / Central Texas
Round Rock offers the 223,000-square-foot indoor park year-round and gives locals multiple rotating deal/season-pass paths.
DC / Richmond / Virginia
Spotsylvania becomes relevant after November 12, 2026. Before that date, it is a construction/pre-opening search result, not a usable waterpark.
Outdoor-waterpark-first visitor
Check season dates before anything else. Poconos and Sandusky outdoor areas run around Memorial Day–Labor Day, while Virginia’s outdoor waterpark waits until 2027.
Official pages worth opening only after you know what you need

Kalahari Water Park FAQs
How much are Kalahari Water Park tickets in 2026?
There is no single national Kalahari ticket price. Waterpark Day Pass prices vary by resort, exact date, pass type, inventory and current promotion. Open the official Kalahari pass calendar for your chosen property and date to see the price that actually applies.
Can you visit Kalahari Water Park without staying at the hotel?
Yes. Poconos, Sandusky, Wisconsin Dells and Round Rock sell limited Waterpark Day Passes when inventory is available. Kalahari says buying online is the only reliable way to guarantee admission because desk sales can close.
What are Kalahari Water Park hours in 2026?
Poconos, Sandusky and Wisconsin Dells currently list indoor waterpark hours of 10AM–9PM daily. Round Rock currently lists 10AM–8PM Sunday through Thursday and 10AM–9PM Friday and Saturday. Outdoor schedules are separate and seasonal.
Is Kalahari waterpark admission included with a hotel stay?
Yes. Registered overnight guests receive waterpark admission. Current practical timing differs by resort: Poconos allows waterpark access from about 10AM on arrival day and until 3PM after checkout; Sandusky from noon and until 3PM after checkout; Wisconsin from 10AM through waterpark close on departure day; and Round Rock from noon through close on departure day.
Which Kalahari Water Park is in Pennsylvania?
Kalahari Resorts Pocono Mountains is at 250 Kalahari Boulevard, Pocono Manor, PA 18349. Its indoor waterpark is currently listed at 220,000 square feet and the resort also has a seasonal outdoor waterpark.
Is there a Kalahari Water Park in New Jersey?
No Kalahari resort currently operates in New Jersey. New Jersey visitors commonly mean Kalahari Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania when searching for a nearby Kalahari location.
When does Kalahari Spotsylvania Virginia open?
Kalahari’s current live Virginia FAQ lists November 12, 2026 as the official opening date. An older January 2026 Kalahari press PDF originally said bookings were available for arrivals beginning December 18, but the newer live FAQ supersedes that date. The outdoor waterpark is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend 2027.
Do Kalahari day-pass guests get towels?
Kalahari strongly encourages Waterpark Day Pass visitors to bring their own towels because complimentary waterpark towels are not provided to ordinary day-pass guests. Towels may be available for purchase if you forget.
Can you bring food or a cooler into Kalahari Water Park?
Current Kalahari waterpark rules prohibit outside food, beverages and coolers in waterpark and common areas. Guests with baby food, allergy-related items or another specific dietary need should clearly identify those items to staff during bag check.
Do children under 48 inches need a life jacket at Kalahari?
Yes. Current Kalahari rules require children under 48 inches to wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket. Kalahari provides approved life jackets on a complimentary first-come, first-served basis, and individual attractions can still have additional height and weight requirements.
